Windows 98/ME Officially Obsolete
On July 11th Microsoft officially ended all support for the Windows 98 and Windows Millenium Edition (Me) operating systems. What this means is that they will no longer offer any additional security updates or technical support for these products. Also, fewer new software applications that are coming out will work on these older versions of Windows.

What this means for you:
If you are using a computer that is running Windows 98 or ME, you could be at risk for security vulnerabilities in your system. You may also have trouble running or installing newer applications such as internet security/anti-virus software, internet connection software, and other applications. If you are not having any trouble doing the things you do on your computer, you can probably keep running your operating system without any further actions. However this would probably be a good time to consider upgrading or purchasing a new computer.
